Other reasons why this is number one: It looks good, it has a nice 'ring' sound in VATS and it is based on Abraham Lincolns actual Henry. The rifle holds 15 rounds before reload is needed. 44 before breaking, and the repair is easy to fix since it can be fixed with regular hunting rifles and lever action rifles (lookout).
The spread is 0.00 (even out of v.a.t.s.) and with the following perks: Sniper, Commando and concentrated fire it's even more deadly in V.A.T.S. Why? Because it deals high damage, and even higher critical damage and increased critical chance in sneak.
